The McCoy family purchased what is now Pleasant Valley Farms in 2012.  The previous owners, Vilas and Sally Miller raised beef cattle, chickens and had a huge garden.  After Vilas passed Sally lived at the farm alone until it was time for her to move into town for assistance.

The first summer on the farm the McCoy's had three horses.  Since then the farm has grown to have an assortment of animals including chickens, ducks, cows, goats, cats and dogs.

In the summer of 2015 Pleasant Valley Farms started offering summer horse camps.  The campers had such a great time and there was so much positive feedback that we have decided to continue with horse camps and have expanded to more fun farm activities.

When people visit the farm they get to step away from their busy lives and reconnect with nature.  For some just being with the farm animals brings them joy.  For others experiencing the quietness of being outdoor in nature brings them the calmness they are craving.  Everyone who spends time at the farm leaves feeling happy.  That is what motivates us to continue sharing the farm with others.
